Liebe Conny, lieber Gerhard,
Es ist wirklich schön zu hören, dass ihr wohl auf seid und morgen endlich eure Heimreise antreten könnt. Traurig ist es aber auch, zu erleben, dass ihr momentan euren Traum auf unbestimmte Zeit auf Eis legen müsst. Aber aufgeschoben ist nicht aufgehoben. Wer weiß, vielleicht ist die Weltreise nach der Coronakrise sogar noch ein Stück schöner und herzlicher! Auf alle Fälle wird dann die Sicht auf die Dinge eine ändere sein, als jetzt.
Ich wünsche euch beiden auf alle Fälle einen guten Heimflug und hoffe für euch auf eine baldige Fortsetzung eurer Reise!

We’ve been thinking of you in the weeks since we met you in Agonda – about the tough times you must be running into because of the virus. Now we see you have had to accept repatriation (presumably with a very heavy heart).
We are so sorry for this, knowing how meticulously you prepared for the trip. From talking to you we know how important this trip was for you, and how life-affirming it had already been – how you’d been touched by the people you’d met.
It was inspiring to meet you and see that even wild dreams can be made reality with perseverance. We sincerely hope you can start where you left off in Mumbai in the not too distant future.

PS. We too decided it best to be repatriated (also very reluctantly). We were on the flight the day before yours (so we just missed you!) which started in Goa then stopped off in Mumbai then on to Frankfurt.
